The bracelet is handmade from African powdered glass beads made by the Krobo people of Ghana. The designs of the Krobo beads resemble the old Venetian fancy trade beads. Initially, the beads were primarily used for personal adornment and ceremonial purposes, serving as offerings to deities or as symbols of ancestral heritage.
